Elisabeth Billander

My studio is in the heart of Västmanland, an old mine-industrial area; Riddarhyttan. I´ve been working with clay for among 25 years and the latest 12 years as a professional artist. As I started out it was more of a coincident that clay was to become my material. Though I´ve been choosing clay many times during the years. Nowadays I use any material I like and see the process and my walks as the main thing. I see myself as a material- and site specific based artist with “Walking as artistic practice” as my method.
